Monsters -- Daru 

Daru are huge, mystic trees imbued with ancient power. Most ate malevolent, but a rare few posses power to benefit mankind.

Temptor Daru
Temptor Darus are massive, craggy trees, with broad, yellowish leaves. The immediate area around the tree is overgrown with other plants and weeds – all fertilized by the Daru’s gristly eating habits. These plants serve to purpose of hiding the indigestible remnants of the Daru’s prey.

Darus require humanoid blood to live and to that end, they have developed a rather unusual means of getting food: seduction. Temptor Daru generate pods, which go forth and seduce the weak minded into coming to the tree, where the Daru subdues them and the pod feeds the victim to the tree.

COMBAT
The Temptor Daru generally sends its pods into towns along the outskirts of its forest to seduce creatures and lead them back to the tree. Once at the tree, the Daru unleashes uses its pollen and spell-like abilities to hinder its prey. Once the prey is rendered helpless, the pod performs a coup de grace, allowing the victim’s blood to bathe the Daru’s roots.

All Around Vision (Ex): A Daru can sense in all directions. It cannot be flanked or caught flat footed.

Doom Pollen (Ex): A Temptor Daru can release a thick cloud of pollen three times a day. All creatures within 30 feet of the Daru must make a Fortitude save (DC 20) each round they remain in the cloud or become nauseated. Creatures that are already nauseated that fail such a save become paralyzed. Creatures immune to poison are immune to this effect.

Spawn Pods (Su): On a moonless night, over the course of six hours, the Daru spawns 1d6 Daru Pods (see below), which quickly transform into human like creatures which it sends out to tempt food back to the tree. Daru Pods last for one week before dying.

Daru Pod
Daru Pods resemble very attractive and articulate men and women with long, wild, brown hair and brown eyes. They often dress in and carry the clothes and items of previous victims of the Daru. Daru Pods have but one ambition in their short lives, to bring food back to their parent Daru.

Occasionally, a Daru Pod overcomes its short life span and strikes out on its own.

COMBAT

Dominating Kiss (Su): Whenever a Daru Pod kisses a willing subject, that subject is effected as by Dominate Person cast by a 10th level sorcerer.

Enchanting Aura (Su): All creatures within 30ft of the Daru Pod must make a Will save (DC 17) or be effected as by Charm Monster.

Unmemorable (Su): Despite their beguiling nature and striking appearance, most people cannot recall the presence of one. One hour after the Daru Pod was last in sight, creatures must make a Will save (DC17) to recall any information about it.
